Dr. Ying Kin So
Principal Dentist & Founder
Dr. Ying Kin So has been practising dentistry for over 32 years and is the founder of 8 To 8 Dental Practice. He is passionate about providing high quality, affordable dental care to patients across Godalming and the surrounding Surrey areas.
Dr. So has extensive experience in general, cosmetic and laser dentistry, and is committed to staying at the forefront of dental technology — including CEREC same-day crowns and advanced laser treatments.
He is dedicated to creating a welcoming, relaxed environment where patients feel at ease, and takes pride in building long-term relationships with his patients and their families.

Dr. Matthew Yau
Associate Dentist
Dr. Matthew Yau graduated from the Prince Philip Dental School at The University of Hong Kong in 1993. With over 30 years of clinical experience, he is dedicated to providing high-quality, personalised dental care for patients of all ages.
He has a particular interest in implant dentistry, orthodontic alignment, and cosmetic dentistry, helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles. Dr. Yau has been a certified Invisalign provider since 2001 and has extensive experience using the Straumann implant system.
After relocating to the UK, Dr. Yau joined our practice in March 2025. He enjoys building long-term relationships with his patients and is committed to delivering gentle, evidence-based care tailored to each individual's needs.
Outside the practice, Dr. Yau enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, and travelling.
